Variety has word that Kyle Chandler (‘Argo’), Brie Larson (’21 Jump Street’), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’), Bob Odenkirk (‘Breaking Bad’) and Andre Royo (‘The Wire’) have become the latest additions to the cast of James Ponsoldt’s ‘The Spectacular Now.’
The coming-of-age dramatic comedy stars Miles Teller (‘Project X’) as Sutter Keely, a popular a high school senior who lives only for the moment. As a project, he begins to date “mercurial introvert” Aimee Finicky (played by Shailene Woodley), a girl trying to plan for the future. Sutter soon realizes that he has the power to permanently impact someone’s life.
Rounding out the cast are Kaitlyn Dever (‘Justified’), Masam Holden (‘Elizabethtown’) and Dayo Okeniyi (‘The Hunger Games’).
‘500 Days of Summer’ scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber adapted the screenplay from Tim Tharp’s awarding winning novel of the same name
