Writer/director Steven Brill has cast James Marsden as his male lead opposite Elizabeth Banks in the comedy ‘Walk of Shame,’ reports THR.

The story centres on “a high-strung news anchor who, after an uncharacteristic wild night out, finds herself locked out on the street with no phone, money, ID or car, and embarks on a series of misadventures as she finds her way to the most important job interview of her life.”

Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg of Lakeshore Entertainment will produce alongside ‘Moneyball’ ‘Adventureland’ producer Sidney Kimmel.

Marsden most recently starred in the indie comedy ‘Bachelorette,’ and currently has a recurring role on ’30 Rock.’ The actor will next be seen on the big screen starring alongside Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington in the Baltasar Kormákur-directed action-crime-drama ‘2 Guns.’
