James Mangold Boards DISORDER Remake

James Mangold, who is coming off rave reviews for the Wolverine finale ‘Logan,’ is to take the director’s chair for a remake of the 2015 French drama ‘Disorder,’ Deadline has learned.

Directed by Alice Winocour, the original starred Matthias Schoenaerts as Vincent, an ex-soldier with PTSD who is hired to protect the wife (played by Diane Kruger) and child of a wealthy Lebanese businessman while he’s out of town. Despite the apparent tranquillity in Maryland, Vincent perceives an external threat.

Taylor Sheridan (‘Hell or High Water,’ ‘Wind River,’ ‘Sicario’) is on board to shape the script for the remake, with Deadline’s sources hearing that the remake will change the soldier’s affliction, add a romance, and set the whole thing in Majorca.

Producers on the project include Todd Black and his Escape Artists partners Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch.
