James Franco Takes BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

Will write and direct the 60s set biopic.

Never one to sit still and take a break, James Franco has gone and lined up another project. Deadline is reporting that Franco is set to direct and star in ‘Beautiful People,’ a drama based on the life of 1960s playboy and hairstylist to the stars Jay Sebring.

Penned by Lauren Wild, ‘Beautiful People’ charts the rise of Sebring as “a self-created men’s grooming pioneer, as he climbed the social ladder in Hollywood during the 60s,” rubbing shoulders with Steve McQueen, Bruce Lee, The Rat Pack, and even Jim Morrison.

The film will also focus on Sebring’s relationship with Roman Polanski’s wife Sharon Tate. Sebring was killed along with Tate in the infamous Manson Family murders in 1969.

Franco will serve as producer, alongside his RabbitBandini Productions partners Miles Levy and Vince Jolivette, and David Bortolucci of Jane and Sheppard Productions and Julie Yorn of LBI Entertainment.
