James Franco helms two book adaptations

Franco turns to the director’s chair…

James Franco is reportedly helming film adaptations of two popular books.

The actor is in talks to write and direct the big screen versions of William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying and Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian with producer Scott Rudin.

Franco and his Miles Levy are said to be in contact with the Faulkner estate to acquire the rights to As I Lay Dying.

Franco will also move with long-time agent Kami Putnam-Heist to the Creative Artists Agency, explaining: “I’m being loyal to my agent.”
