With director Gore Verbinski’ ‘The Lone Ranger’ back on track and heading into production in six weeks, the project has resumed casting. THR reports that British actor James Frain (‘Water for Elephants,’ ‘Tron: Legacy,’ ‘True Blood’) has joined the cast.
The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced action adventure stars Johnny Depp as Tonto, Armie Hammer as the titular hero, and Tom Wilkinson as the villain. Ruth Wilson (‘Anna Karenina,’ ‘Luther’) and Helena Bonham Carter have supporting roles.
Frain will be taking the role of a tough foreman overseeing Chinese and Indian rail workers who works for Wilkinson’s character.
