Director David M. Rosenthal and his ‘The Perfect Guy’ star Michael Ealy are set to reteam for a remake of the cult classic ‘Jacob’s Ladder.’

The original, directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Tim Robbins, centred on Jacob Singer, a Vietnam veteran living in New York City whose experiences both prior to and during the war have resulted in strange flashbacks and bizarre hallucinations that continue to haunt him in his everyday life.

‘When a Strange Calls’ scribe Jake Wade Wall and Jeff Buhler (‘The Midnight Meat Train’) are providing the script for the remake, which Deadline describes as “a modern-day paranoid action thriller about two brothers.”

Production is set to begin in May with Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and Jennifer Monroe of LD Entertainment producing alongside Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta of Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films.
