Jack Palance
Perhaps the strangest acceptance speech came from the 72-year old actor Jack Palance who felt a spot of cardio is what was missing from the glitz and glam of the Oscars… Having given a roll-call of people he was grateful to, he suddenly hit the floor and did a series of one-handed press ups. He was 72-years-old, and explained that he’d done it because, “I did’t know what hell else to do!”
