Isabelle Fuhrman Takes Lead in David Gordon Green

Production set for September.

Variety reports that David Gordon Green has cast Isabelle Fuhrman (‘The Hunger Games,’ ‘Orphan’) as the lead in his upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 Italian horror classic ‘Suspiria.’

Scheduled to begin filming in September, ‘Suspiria’ centers on Suzie, a bright and ambitious American student who travels to Europe to attend a world renowned school. After a fellow student is brutally murdered and several other cruel and strange homicides disrupt the once quiet life on campus, Suzie realizes that the academy may be a front for a more menacing organization.

Green (‘Pineapple Express,’ ‘All the Real Girls’) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Chris Gebert.
