Irish cinemas to show Universal classics on the big screen

They don’t make films like these anymore…

Universal Pictures International Ireland today announced the re-issue of classic pictures from the Universal archives. Films such as Scarface, Spartacus and Blues Brothers will be shown digitally in five Irish cinemas, including Screen D’Olier Street, Movies@Dundrum, Cineworld Dublin, IMC Dun Laoghaire, Omniplex Santry, SGC Dungarvan and Omniplex Galway.

 

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Irish audiences to see some of Universal Pictures’ amazing back catalogue of titles on the big screen” said David Burke, General Manager, UPII.  “We look forward to re-issuing further timeless classics in 2010.  Feedback from our cinema partners has been extraordinary; there’s been phenomenal demand so far.”

11th Sept – SPARTACUS

25th Sept – BLUES BROTHERS

9th Oct – SCARFACE

23rd Oct – THE THING

6th Nov – ANIMAL HOUSE
