INSURRECTION V3.6 Adaptation On The Way

The Boom! Studios comic series making its way to the big screen.

THR has learned that Paramount Pictures has acquired the feature film rights to the Blake Masters-created comic ‘Insurrection V3.6.’

Described as a sci-fi take on ‘Spartacus,’ ‘Insurrection V3.6’ is a set in a future where corporations are more powerful than governments and command their own armies. The armies consist of clones who, for decades, have been treated like a sub-class. That all changes when one man stands up and leads a revolution that has vast repercussions.

The script for the adaptation will be penned by Masters. A writer, director, and producer of films and television series, Masters created the crime drama series ‘Brotherhood’ and served as a showrunner for ‘Law & Order: LA.’ He has also penned Baltasar Kormákur’s upcoming comic adaptation ‘2 Guns’ which has Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg attached to star.

Michael De Luca and Matt Tolmach will produce the project with Ross Richie of Boom! Studios.
