INHERENT VICE Actress Nabs Female Lead in Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs Biopic

Joins Fassbender and Rogen for tech drama…

British-born American actress Katherine Waterston (‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Night Moves’) has reportedly scored the coveted female lead opposite Michael Fassbender in the Danny Boyle-directed biopic of tech pioneer Steve Jobs.

Fassbender recently came on board to portray Jobs, with Seth Rogen (‘The Interview’) playing Steve Wozniak, and Michael Stuhlbarg (‘A Serious Man’) as Andy Hertzfeld, the computer scientist and inventor who was part of the original Apple development team that came up with Macintosh OS.

Deadline hears that Waterston, who will next be seen starring in Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘Inherent Vice,’ is set to play Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ first wife.

Production on the tech drama will shoot this year with Aaron Sorkin providing the script.
