John Hurt joins Lars von Trier’s Melancholia
John Hurt has boarded the cast of Lars von Trier’s upcoming movie Melancholia.
The actor will join Kirsten Dunst, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling and Charlotte Gainsbourg in the disaster film.
Stellan and Alexander Skarsgard and Udo Kier have also signed to appear in the picture.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot points have been scarce but the film has been described by Peter A. Jensen, head of von Trier’s production firm, Zentropa, as a “beautiful film about the end of the world.”
