Anand Gandhi’s latest begins casting…
Hugo Weaving (‘Oranges and Sunshine,’ ‘The Turning’) and Sohum Shah (‘Ship of Thesus,’ ‘Baabarr’) are in talks to star in Anand Gandhi’s fantasy period drama ‘Bird Eclipse.’
Per ScreenDaily, the film spans three decades post World War II and follows the “illegitimate son of a feudal family who is searching for treasure hidden under a dilapidated mansion guarded by a fallen god.”
Weaving would be playing a dubious poppy-trading South African, who follows his friend to the house and is afflicted by a curse that makes him a sleeping immortal.
Ruchi Bhimani (‘Ship of Thesus’) is on board to produce.
