Hudgens joins serial killer thriller.
Vanessa Hudgens (‘Sucker Punch,’ ‘High School Musical’) is set to star alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack in ‘Frozen Ground.’
The directorial debut of Scott Walker, the thriller is based on the true events surrounding Alaska’s most notorious serial predator Robert Hansen (Cusack). Over the span of 12 years, he abducted more than 24 women, flying them into the Alaskan wilderness, and hunted and murdered them.
Deadline reports that Hudgens will be playing the teenage victim who escapes the serial killers cutches. When she returned to tell her story, nobody believed her. She teams up with the Alaskan State Trooper (Cage) who found her on the street and together they work to bring Hansen to justice.
Walker will be working from his own script, with production set to begin on October 17th in Anchorage, Alaska.
