HOT TUB TIME MACHINE Sequel Wants PARKS AND RECREATION Star Adam Scott

Adam Scott to replace John Cusack as the lead.

‘Parks and Recreation’ series regular Adam Scott is said to have entered into “early talks” to star in MGM’s upcoming sequel ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2.’

Directed by Steve Pink and best described as a love letter to ’80s teen comedies, the first film followed a group of friends who, disappointed at the way their lives have turned out, travel back to 1986 with the help of a malfunctioning time machine.

Pink, along with original cast members Craig Robinson (‘This Is The End’), Rob Corddry (‘Pain & Gain’) and Clark Duke (‘Identity Thief’) are all set to return. John Cusack, who headlined the first film, was initially expected to return but is no longer involved with the sequel.

According to TheWrap, Scott would be playing an entirely new leading man.
