Horror-Thriller THE BOY Gets a Sequel Starring Katie Holmes

William Brent Bell will return to direct a sequel to his successful 2016 horror-thriller feature ‘The Boy,’ with Katie Holmes (‘Batman Begins,’ ‘Phone Booth,’ ‘Ray Donovan’) headlining.

Starring Lauren Cohan (‘The Walking Dead’), the original followed a nanny who is shocked that her new English family’s boy, Brahms, is actually a life-sized doll. After she violates a list of strict rules, disturbing events make her believe that the doll is really alive.

The follow-up sees Holmes playing a mother who moves her young family into Heelshire Mansion, unaware of its terrifying history. Her young son soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms.

Principal photography will begin in Victoria, British Columbia in January with the first film’s scribe Stacey Menear providing the script.
