Hollywoods Highest Earners 2009 revealed Emma Watson Michael Bay amongst biggest earners

Hollywood’s highest earners for 2009 revealed – Michael Bay and Emma Watson top the list…

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has been named the highest paid female in Hollywood according to US magazine Vanity Fair. The 19 year old actress is reported to have earned over $30million in 2009.

Watson came 14th in the overall earnings list, her co-star Daniel Radcliffe came in 6th, while Rupert Grint came in 15th. Not bad considering the only big movies they’ve done is the Harry Potter movies.

The only other actress to appear in the top 20 is Cameron Diaz, which is puzzling considering her only 2009 movies were ‘The Box’ and ‘My Sisters Keeper’. In 2010 she will appear in ‘Knight and Day’ opposite Tom Cruise, ‘The Green Hortnet’ and ‘Shrek Forever After’.

Transformers director Michael Bay topped the survey, with his income thought to be more than $125m (£78m), followed by director Steven Spielberg. The big money is obviously in directing because the top five also includes fellow directors James Cameron, Todd Phillips and Roland Emmerich.

Other actors that made the top earnings list include Tom Hanks, Nicolas Cage, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler.  The list takes into account activities other than acting, including modelling contracts and sponsorships.

The top 10 is as follows
1/ Michael Bay
2/ Stephen Speilberg
3/ Roland Emmerich
4/ James Cameron
5/ Todd Phillips
6/ Daniel Radcliffe
7/ Ben Stiller
8/ Tom Hanks
9/ JJ Abrams
10/ Jerry Bruckheimer
