“Sooner or later the party has to end…” An Irish-Australian co-production, ANIMALS was shot in Dublin in March 2018 and is a feature adaptation of author-turned-screenwriter Emma Jane Unsworth’s fierce and unapologetic best-selling novel celebrating female friendship.

Award-winning filmmaker Sophie Hyde (‘52 Tuesdays,’ ‘Life in Movement’) helms the unconventional female-driven comedy starring Holliday Grainger and Alia Shawkat as Laura and Tyler respectively, best friends and drinking buddies whose hedonistic existence falls under the creeping horror of adulthood when Laura gets engaged to Jim (Fra Fee) — an ambitious pianist who decides, unfathomably, to go teetotal.

ANIMALS – Irish release date is August 2.
