Hemsworth Enters CUT BANK

Crime thriller cast new lead as production kicks off.

Liam Hemsworth (‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ ‘The Expendables 3’) has joined the cast of Matt Shakman’s indie crime thriller ‘Cut Bank,’ replacing Armie Hammer as the lead.

Featuring a Black List script by Roberto Patino (‘Sons of Anarchy,’ ‘Prime Suspect’), the film tells the story of Dwayne McLaren (Hemsworth), a former-athlete-turned-auto-mechanic who is desperate to flee his hometown of Cut Bank, MT. But his dreams of escaping set in motion a series of events that will change him and his tiny rural town forever.

John Malkovich, Teresa Palmer, Billy Bob Thornton, Oliver Platt, Bruce Dern and Michael Stuhlbarg are attached to co-star with filming taking place in Alberta, Canada. Ben Kingsley and Michael Sheen were in the original cast when the project was announced last year.

Hemsworth will next be seen starring in ‘Paranoia,’ the Robert Luketic-directed thriller co-starring Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman.
