Heigl, Arnett, Fraser & More to Voice THE NUT JOB

Stars to voice animated tale.

Deadline has learned that Katherine Heigl (‘The Big Wedding’), Will Arnett (‘Arrested Development’), Brendan Fraser (‘Whole Lotta Sole’), Stephen Lang (‘Avatar’), Sarah Gadon (‘A Dangerous Mind’), and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham are set to lend their voices to the action-packed, animated comedy ‘The Nut Job.’

To be directed by Peter Lepeniotis, based on his 2005 short film ‘Surly Squirrel,’ the Lorne Cameron-penned tale is set in the late 1950s in fictional Oakton and follows the travails of Surly, a mischievous squirrel and his rat pal Buddy as they plan a nut store heist that gets out of hand.

‘The Nut Job’ will be a co-production between Canada-based ToonBox Entertainment and Korea-based Redrover Co, Ltd.
