Actor and director reunite for new project.

Following their work on the drama ‘The Woman in the Fifth,’ Screen Daily (via The Playlist) reports that Ethan Hawke and director Pawel Pawlikowski are set to reteam for the black comedy ‘Epic.’

Co-starring Ben Kinglsey, Christopher Lambert and Chulpan Khamatova, the film follows a confused, washed up British director who gets invited by a nascent state to make a national epic in an obscure (and fictitious) Caucasus Republic.

Kingsley will take the role of the nation’s dictator; Lambert will play the film’s crazed star and Khamatova as the “beauty and brains.”

A start date for the Georgian-UK-Russian-French co-production has yet to be announced.
