HAROLD & KUMAR Helmer Todd Strauss-Schulson to Direct RASCAL RACCOON

Graphic novel adaptation in the works.

Heat Vision reports that ‘A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas’ helmer Todd Strauss-Schulson is attached to direct a big screen adaptation of the Oni Press graphic novel ‘Rascal Raccoon’s Raging Revenge’ for Warner Bros.

Created by Brendan Hay and Justin Wagner, and released late last year, the graphic novel is set in a place called Toonie Terrace, home of the fun-loving Toonies and their jealous, bitter rivals, the Meanies. For all their shenanigans, no Meanie has ever murdered a Toonie… until now. After thousands of painful failed attempts, Rascal Raccoon has finally killed his arch-nemesis, the charming and adorable Jumpin’ Jackalope. Rascal is overjoyed, but there’s one problem: what does he do now? With nothing left to obsess over, Rascal’s life falls apart. Fortunately, he soon finds a new target for his anger: the animator who created him!

Screenwriter Matt Fogel (‘Bob: The Musical,’ ‘Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son’) is on board to adapt the screenplay for Stauss-Schulson.
