Dustin Lance Black directing the young adult drama…. ‘Begin Again’ and ‘The Homesman’ star Hailee Steinfeld is set to team with writer-director Dustin Lance Black (‘Virginia,’ ‘Milk’) for an adaptation of the popular young adult novel ‘The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,’ says Variety. The book, written by Jennifer E. Smith, is set over a 24-hour-period and follows Hadley Sullivan, a seventeen-year-old stuck at New York’s JFK Airport and late to her father’s second wedding in London. Hadley meets the perfect boy in the airport’s cramped waiting area and they wind up seated next to each other on the flight, and sparks fly. Black will direct from his own script, as well as serve as executive producer alongside Bruna Papandrea (‘Milk,’ ‘Gone Girl’), Caroline Kaplan (‘Boyhood’), and Steve Hutensky (‘2:22’).
