Thriller co-stars Sam Worthington.
Deadline reports that ‘True Grit’ and ‘Ender’s Game’ actress Hailee Steinfeld has been set to star opposite Sam Worthington (‘Wrath of the Titans’) on the thriller ‘For the Dogs.’
Scripted by Oren Moverman (‘Rampart’), based on the novel by Kevin Wignall, the plot centres on a solitary assassin (Worthington) who agrees to help a precocious teenager (Steinfeld) exact revenge on those who murdered her parents and younger brother. His guidance unleashes events that ultimately stoke her thirst for vengeance while he desperately seeks peace and absolution.
The film has Phillip Noyce (‘Salt’) attached to direct with Anthony Rhulen and Navid McIlhargey producing via their FilmEngine Entertainment banner. Worthington, John Schwarz and Michael Schwarz will produce for Full Clip Productions.
