Costner eyes role in ‘Midnight Delivery.’

THR is reporting that Kevin Costner (‘Three Days to Kill,’ ‘Jack Ryan’ ‘Man of Steel’) has entered into talks for the lead in ‘Midnight Delivery,’ Universal’s thriller being produced by Guillermo del Toro.

Scripted by Del Toro and Neil Cross (‘Luther’), the film would see Costner playing “a father who attempts to save his estranged daughter from a Colombian gang by trafficking cocaine to London on a midnight flight.”

David Linde of Lava Bear Films will produce ‘Midnight Delivery’, with Gary Ungar and Tory Metzger serving as executive producers alongside Russell Ackerman.

‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Luther director Brian Kirk was previously attached to direct, but this latest report doesn’t mention Irish helmer.
