GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Casts Josh Brolin as Thanos

Will voice the big bad in future Marvel films…

Multiple outlets are reporting that Academy Award nominee Josh Brolin (‘Oldboy,’ ‘Labor Day,’ ‘No Country for Old Men’) is to lend his voice to the villainous ‘Thanos’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The purple skinned villain, who first appeared in the post-credits scene in ‘Avengers Assemble,’ is a long-standing and an extremely powerful villain in the Marvel universe and is set to make his next appearance in the James Gunn-directed ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ He will be back in a much bigger capacity for ‘Avengers 3.’

Brolin will next be seen alongside Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Eva Green, Rosario Dawson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ when it hits cinemas August 29th.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ co-starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Dave Batista, opens in Irish cinemas August 1.
