Fred Claus managed to stay on top of the Irish box office charts this weekend, keeping the highly anticipated Golden Compass movie from number one.
Fred Claus earned €350,000 from Irish cinemas this weekend, bringing its total Irish gross to €968,000. The Golden Compass earned slightly less, bringing in €311,000. Bee Movie landed in third place on previews only. The Dreamworks animation played at cinemas on December 8th and 9th and brought in €256,000.
Bee Movie and Enchanted will battle it out for the top spot next week, both films performed extremely well in America, so it’s impossible to guess which film will come out top the box office.
