Tony Gilroy to helm next Bourne?
Michael Clayton helmer Tony Gilroy has signed on to direct the fourth film in the Jason Bourne franchise.
Titled The Bourne Legacy, the film comes from a script by Gilroy, who also wrote The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum.
Although leading man Matt Damon had previously stated that he had no desire to return without Greengrass at the helm, he has also admitted to being excited for a fourth Bourne outing. Even with the shift in franchise directors, attempts are certainly underway to negotiate Damon’s return.
The filmic Bourne series has been loosely adapted from the novels by Robert Ludlum. The original film, The Bourne Identity, was directed by Doug Liman.
