Ricky Gervais tipped to host 2009 Oscars
Ricky Gervais has been tipped as the possible host of next year’s Oscars.
According to reports, new Oscars bosses Laurence Mark and Bill Condon were impressed with ‘The Office’ creator’s laugh-raising stint at Sunday’s Emmy Awards, and they want to audition him for the Oscars.
“The buzz around town is that Ricky should host the Oscars,” a source commented.
Previous Oscars hosts have included Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Martin, Jon Stewart and Billy Crystal.
