Gary Ross to helm Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games?
Gary Ross is in talks to helm the on-screen adaptation of the first installment in Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games trilogy.
The director is in early talks to helm the project with other big names including Sam Mendes, David Slade, Andrew Adamson, Rupert Sanders and Susanna White.
The story is set in a dystopic Capitol requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl who are forced to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Filming on The Hunger Games is scheduled to begin in 2011.
