Garret Dillahunt Joins COGANS TRADE and LOOPER

The hugely underrated actor lands two roles.

The name might not sound familiar but you can be sure you have seen his face pop up in some of your favourite movies and TV shows. Actor Garret Dillahunt has starred in ‘E.R.,’ ‘Deadwood,’ ‘No Country for Old Men,’ ‘Burn Notice,’ ‘The X Files,’ ‘Damages,’ ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,’ ‘The Road,’ ‘The Last House on the Left,’ ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ and more. He most recently starred in ‘Winter’s Bone,’ and he can be currently seen starring in the TV series ‘Raising Hope.’

Now he can add two more credits onto that list after landing a part in Andrew Dominik’s crime thriller ‘Cogan’s Trade’ and a role in Rian Johnson’s sci-fi thriller ‘Looper.’

‘Cogan’s Trade’ stars Brad Pitt as Jackie Cogan, a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game. The movie co-stars Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Sam Shepard, Max Casella, Bella Heathcote, and Ben Mendelsohn. The movie sees Dillahunt reuniting with Dominik (‘Chopper’), his director on ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.’ According to Dillahunt, his role is only a cameo.

The actor will have a bigger role in ‘Looper,’ a role that’s said to be a villain who pops up in the third act of the movie. He stars alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Piper Perabo, Paul Dano, Jeff Daniels and Noah Segan. The film will follow Gordon-Levitt’s character, a so-called ‘Looper’ whose job is to dispose of people who begin arriving from the future, but one day becomes confronted with an older version of himself (played by Willis).
