Game of Thrones calls for Irish extras

Remember when everyone used to laugh at your beard? Well, now you can have the last laugh!

Filming for HBO’s hugely successful fantasy series Game of Thrones will begin filming in Northern Ireland on July 25th until December of this year. Extras NI have put a shout out for thousands of extras to take part in the production, which will film at Belfast’s Paint Hall studios and other locations throughout Northern Ireland.

Extras NI is holding an open casting day at The Holiday Inn, 22 Ormeau Avenue, Belfast on Monday 4th July between 11am and 7pm. Come along anytime between these hours. Each person will be given an application form to fill out and then have their photograph taken.  No appointment is necessary. 

They are especially interested in the following 

MALES of all hair lengths – short, medium & long who are prepared to let their hair grow from now until Jan 2012 and/or bearded males

Strong and fit males, sporty types

Archers, swordfighters or re-enactors and people with military experience

Blacksmiths & Iron Workers

Skilled building tradespeople

Farmhands

Ship/Deck hands and sailors

Butchers/Hunters

Females aged 35-65 with non-dyed long hair past their shoulders

IT IS REQUESTED THAT YOU ARE BASED IN NORTHERN IRELAND
HAVE A PASSPORT & A NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER FOR WORKING IN N.I.
ARE FLEXIBLE & CAN WORK WEEK DAYS FOR OCCASIONAL PAID WORK
