Usual Suspects star in line for ‘Best Drama Actor’ Emmy.
Irish actor Gabriel Byrne (Vanity Fair, Jindabyne, The Usual Suspects) has been named in the Top Ten shortlist for a Best Drama Actor Emmy for his role as a psychotherapist in the HBO drama ‘In Treatment’.
Joining Byrne in the line-up are UK actors Hugh Laurie (House) and Eddie Izzard (The Riches) and from the US, Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), James Spader (Boston Legal), Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Denis Leary (Rescue Me).
The top ten actress list has also been unveiled, with Glenn Close (Damages), Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica), Sally Field (Brothers & Sisters) and Holly Hunter (Saving Grace) all in the running.
