Frank Grillo and Anna Torv Join Akiva Goldsman’s STEPHANIE

‘Winter’s Tale’ writer-director casts his leads…

Frank Grillo (‘The Purge: Anarchy,’ ‘Captain America: The Winter Solider’) and Anna Torv (‘Fringe,’ ‘Love Is Now’) have been cast in ‘Stephanie,’ a horror-thriller to be directed by Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman (‘Winter’s Tale’).

Penned by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, the script tells the story of a young girl (played by Shree Crooks) abandoned by her parents in their remote home. Stephanie survives on peanut butter and conversations with her toy turtle, while a dark supernatural force looms in the background. When her mother and father return to claim her, Stephanie’s mysterious world is disrupted and the malevolent power spins out of control.

Jason Blum‘s Blumhouse Productions and Matt Kaplan’s Chapter One are producing the supernatural tale with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Adrienne Biddle. Nate Matteson, Eric Robinson and Bryan Bertino will serve as executive producers.
