Tarantino continues to fill out the cast of his western.
Todd Allen (‘Friday Night Lights,’ ‘The Apostle’), James Remar (‘Warriors,’ ‘Dexter’), Tom Wopat (‘Jonah Hex,’ ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’) and James Russo (‘Public Enemies’) have joined the already impressive ensemble cast of Quentin Tarantino’s western revenge thriller ‘Django Unchained.’

For those playing catch-up, the thriller follows the titular slave who teams up with a German bounty hunter (played by Christoph Waltz) to rescue his long-lost love, Broomhilda (played by Kerry Washington), from the sadistic slave master and plantation owner Monsieur Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).
The rest of the cast is made up of Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, M.C. Gainey, Dennis Christopher, Gerald McRaney, Laura Cayouette, Anthony LaPaglia, Don Johnson, and Tom Savini. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in active talks for a unknown role.
In related news, in an interview with MTV, Jonah Hill revealed that he was offered a role in the film but was unable to fit it into his schedule.
“I got offered the new Quentin Tarantino movie, and I can’t do it because of my schedule. Doing Quentin’s movie would have obviously been amazing, but my schedule didn’t work out, which sucks.”
