Loves outside of Film

But is there anything else in life that you love doing? Do you love stamps, trains, ponies? Ill start the ball rolling. Poker. Loved it for the past 5 years. Played regularly live and online. Is addictive and challenging. I think film is ahead of it only becuase u cant lose money watching a dvd (unless of course u bought the dvd and its crap).

Last year went to vegas to play at a real tournament and won it outright, beat 49 other players. God I am still on a high from it. What sites you playing on? PKR or Paddy power?

Played in one of the events, did not win :( but loved playing cash games in the bellagio and MGM. I play on Full Tilt (3BetShove) and Boyle at the moment. Well done on winning that tournament. I'd love to play in Vegas .. or anywhere really but non of my mates play so I dont want to be the loner walking into a casino !! also I play guitar, just bought a Gibson Les Paul... love it so much, but my biggest love is movies and boobies

Can you recommend anywhere to play? Used to play in organised fun leagues in london. No cash changes hands but you can play through them to get ept entries. Failing that, wouldnt mind getting in on a friendly, one off buy in game

The TI has really competitive game. Low buys ins $50-100 but loads of dealers and pro's in the daytime games. the Venetian has a great higher stake game $150 upwards. But for old school, go to Binnions on the old strip. Its where the WPT started and Hold em was invented

If we get enough interest in a Movies.ie poker tournament i know a casino that may be able to accomadate us for the game. The casino is in dublin though so might not work for those in country. I will happily host it in my flat, in grand canal dock some night. Say a €30-50 euro buy-in, and work out a payout structure, say 2 places per 6 players? Just bring beer and snacky-cakes

And i work in the IFSC so is ideal area for me. Can organise payout structure when we see how many ppl arrive. Also are some nice games in the casino's around dublin. Fitwilliam has a nice game on sunday, 30 euro game. Loads of friendly people.
