A secretive renegade counter-terrorist co-opts the world’s greatest hacker (who is trying to stay clean) to steal billions in US Government dirty money, this cyber flick which stars Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman may be a no brainer, but with plenty of over-the-top violence, special effects and sexy women, it’s a definite favourite for techno-thrillers.

Tron

One of the first computer generated movies which remains one of the best, Tron follows a hacker split into molecules and is transported into a computer. In this computeraprogram called Master Control acts like a dictator while the hacker, who programmed a number of features of the environment he got into, teams up with a book keeping program and his girl-friend and together they try to replace Master Control with Tron.

Another star-studded film that tells the story of Martin Bishop (Robert Redford), head of a group of experts who specialize in testing security systems. When he is bribed by Government agents into stealing a top secret black box, the team find themselves involved in a game of danger and conspiracy. After getting the box, they discover that it has the capability to decode every existing encryption system around the world. The problem is that the agents who hired them didn’t work for the Government after all.
