Set in early 1980’s Ireland, An Cailín Ciúin follows Cáit, played by Caitríona Clinse, a young girl whose family send her to her mother’s cousin to be cared for while her mother has another baby. The Irish language film recently won the main prize at the 2022 Irish Film And Television Academy (IFTA) awards and has already made a stir at some global festival appearances.
