A neo-noir drama scripted by Brian Tucker, ‘Broken City’ sees Mark Wahlberg playing an ex-cop-turned-private who is hired by the mayor of New York to identify his wife’s lover. When the wife’s cheating partner turns up dead, the detective takes it personally, immersing himself in the mayor’s dealings, and uncovers a wider conspiracy involving his employer.
