Video Interview : Hugh Jackman

X-Men favourite Wolverine, aka Hugh Jackman chats about the Aussie epic ""Australia"

"It could have been three and a half hours", jokes Hugh Jackman about Baz Luhrmann's deeply personal epic "Australia" but, as the Aussie actor concedes, "if you're going to make an old school Hollywood epic - with comedy, drama, romance and action, if you do it in the current norm, you just wouldn't be giving people there money's worth".

Four year's in the making, Luhrmann's "Australia" finally hits Irish cinemas this weekend. We caught up the "X-Man" Hugh Jackman to discuss the pic, the delays and working with Australia's most unconventional director Baz Luhrmann.

"Australia" hits Irish cinemas Friday, December 26th.

It's weird to here home talking with his "proper" accent.
Glad he isnt doing the Ahern thang - last thing we need is another Gerard Butler accent!

I want to see Australia, but I want to see Wolverine even more, you should have thrown a sneaky Wolverine question in there

    Several things:

    1) He sold this movie to me

    2) Way to cover your tracks there, Jackman: "All the people that came to Australia: all the convi-All the Irish......"

    3) What is it about this interviewer? He asks real, *good*, not always easy questions, and everyone is always so perfectly relaxed and willing to answer them. I love it.

sold me too, do any cinemas break half way through long movies anymore? I used to hate it but sometimes it can be a good chance to pop out for a smoke
