Fassbender Reteaming with McQueen for TWELVE YEARS A SLAVE

Pair continues actor-director partnership with third collaboration.

Variety reports that Michael Fassbender is to reteam with Steve McQueen for the third time on the director’s next, ‘Twelve Years a Slave.’ The two previously worked together on 2008’s ‘Hunger,’ and most recently on ‘Shame.’

As previously reported, Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in the true story of Solomon Northrup, a New York citizen who was kidnapped in Washington in 1841 and rescued from a cotton plantation in Louisiana in 1853. Details are on Fassbender’s role are being kept under wraps.

McQueen and John Ridley penned the screenplay based on Northup’s 1853 autobiography.
