Fassbender Eyes True Crime Tale ENTERING HADES

Michael Fassbender (‘Steve Jobs,’ ‘Macbeth,’ ‘Light Between Oceans’) is set to produce and star in an adaptation of John Leake’s true crime novel ‘Entering Hades: The Double Life of a Serial Killer,’ Variety has learned.

With Alexander Dinelaris (‘Birdman’) handling script duties, the story follows Jack Unterweger, a celebrated Austrian journalist and best-selling author who led a double life investigating murders by day and killing by night – amassing a body count of 11 people across multiple continents.

Conor McCaughan and Daniel Emmerson, Fassbender’s partners over at DMC Film, will produce, along with Storyscape Entertainment’s Bob Cooper (‘John Tucker Must Die’) and Richard Saperstein (‘1408’).

Fassbender will next be seen reprising his role as Magneto in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ hitting Irish cinemas May 18th.
