Dakota Fanning to star in The Wizard Of Oz sequel?
Dakota Fanning is to star in the sequel to The Wizard Of Oz.
The actress is speculated to land the lead role in the follow-up to the classic 1939 film.
Producer Basil Iwanyk said: “It will be set in the present day and feature Dorothy’s granddaughter.”
Co-producer Todd McFarlane added: “You’ve still got Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she’s much closer to the Ripley character from Alien than a helpless singing girl.”
