Will lead the romantic comedy.
Ewan McGregor (‘Haywire,’ ‘Beginners’) has signed on to take the male lead in actor/director Peter Capaldi’s romantic comedy ‘Born to be King.’
From a script by Capaldi (‘Strictly Sinatra’), ‘Born to be King’ centres on an extra (McGregor) who has an uncanny resemblance to a movie actor, and a Hollywood starlet who’s at war with her co-star but likes the extra.
Variety says that Kate Hudon (‘Something Borrowed,’ ‘The Killer Inside Me’) is in negotiations for the female lead opposite McGregor.
The plan is for production to kick off in January in London.
