New addition to the sci-fi adaptation.
According to THR’s insiders, 17-year-old Canadian actor Brendan Meyer (‘Mr. Young’) has landed a role in Gavin Hood’s film adaptation of the Orson Scott Card sci-fi novel ‘Ender’s Game.’
The film stars Asa Butterfield as Andrew “Ender” Wiggin, a young genius strategist, who is drafted by the International Fleet to destroy a hostile alien race. Meyer will play Stilson, Ender’s classmate and rival who taunted him during ground school.
Butterfield’s ‘Hugo’ co-star Ben Kingsley and ‘True Grit’ actress Hailee Steinfeld are currently in negotiations to join, with Harrison Ford also being sought for a supporting role.
