Trio set for dark comedy.
THR reports that Emily Watson (‘War Horse’), Anna Friel (‘Limitless’) and Lena Headey (‘Game of Thrones’) have signed on to star in Jon Amiel’s World War I dramedy ‘The Poisoners.’
The screenplay, written by Paul Billing, follows “women left behind in an English farming community during World War I who become involved with several German prisoners-of-war.”
German actors Ken Duken, Hanno Koffler and Alexander Scheer are attached to co-star.
Production is set to begin shooting in Ireland and Germany in the summer
