British actress Emily Mortimer (‘Hugo,’ ‘Shutter Island,’ ‘Lars and the Real Girl’) has entered into talks for the female lead in the supernatural action flick ‘Spectral.’
The film, described as a ‘Black Hawk Down’ meets ‘Ghostbusters,’ follows a special ops group formed to bring down evil ghosts that have taken over Manhattan.
James Badge Dale (‘Iron Man 3,’ ‘Parkland,’ ‘World War Z’) is attached to play the male lead with Nic Mathieu behind the camera.
Max Martini (‘Sabotage,’ ‘Pacific Rim’), Cory Hardrict (‘American Sniper,’ ‘Warm Bodies’), and Clayne Crawford (‘Graceland,’ ‘The Baytown Outlaws’) co-star.
The screenplay comes from George Nolfi and John Gatins, based on the original treatment by Ian Fried.
