‘Looper’ actress to topline thriller…
Emily Blunt (‘Into The Woods,’ ‘Looper,’ ‘The Adjustment Bureau’) has reportedly scored the lead in the London-based mystery thriller ‘Sister.’
Based on the Rosamund Lupton’s bestselling debut novel, the follows Beatrice “Bee” Hemmings, a woman who, not happy with the official ruling of her younger sister’s death as a suicide, sets out to investigate the truth. However, she may pay a terrible price for the truth as she soon finds herself in over her head.
Producer Kevin McCormick (‘Gangster Squad’) is developing the adaptation over at his Langley Park banner with StudioCanal financing.
Blunt will be next seen starring opposite Tom Cruise in Doug Liman’s sci-fi actioner ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ when it hits cinemas May 2014.
