Ellen Burstyn, Frank Langella & More Join DRAFT DAY

Sports drama fills out six more roles.

Acting legend Ellen Burstyn (‘Requiem for a Dream,’ ‘The Exorcist’), Frank Langella (‘Robot & Frank,’ ‘Frost/Nixon’), Denis Leary (‘Ice Age,’ ‘Rescue Me’), Josh Pence (‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ ‘The Social Network’), Chadwick Boseman (’42,’ ‘The Kill Hole’) and Timothy Simons (‘Veep,’ ‘Blue Potato’) have become the latest additions to the cast of Ivan Reitman’s NFL-centric drama ‘Draft Day.’

With Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner leading the cast, the sports drama is a 24-hour day in the life of the general manager of the Cleveland Browns as he struggles to acquire the number one draft pick for his team.

Burstyn will take the role of Costner’s mother. Langella is playing the fictional owner of the Browns, while Deadline reports that Leary will play the new head coach, who finds himself at odds with Costner’s character.

Principal photography kicks off this week in New York City.
